This is an interesting observation, if you listen to the track 'PAIN' on the album STRANGE HIGHWAYS this can confirm this. This is an interesting side to Ronnies character, perhaps a bit of sadism or S and M.? |
Just make sure you don't go down the Max Mosley route with this 
I look at from a writers view point...in songs its seems writing from First person, seems the most natural way to write well it isn't.Third person is probably the most common point of view employed in writing and makes the best stories. |
I agree, and I did not mean anything untoward with my comments. I actually love the track PAIN off strange highways but it is true that songwrietrs often write about personal experiences which can be interperated anyway you like. A lot of people get pleasure from pain, who's to say this is wrong..?..I think this is what Ronnie is talking about...as he says ' GIVE ME A CHOICE OF PLEASURE AND PAIN, I CHOOSE PAIN' |
