I pulled some strings with my family, and managed to get 2 VIP tickets to the next Heaven and Hell tour coming up (one for me, and one for my dad.) Now, I'm wondering, has anybody else had the privilege to get VIP tickets to a Dio concert? If you have, could you tell me what it's like?
Is it just like a quick 5 seconds with Dio? Or do you actually get to sit and chat with him?
Just tell me your personal experiences with the VIP ticket package please!

I'm sure the VIP package for each band is about the same as this one.....

I on the other hand have not had a VIP pk before,so I couldn't help you with that part. BUT I have met Ronnie and the boys (DIO group and H&H) and I can tell you Ronnie loves chatting with his fans.
As for amount of time it would depend on how packed the place is with fellow meet and greets waiting and on how much time Ronnie has before they gotta hit the road (or bed).

Sorry for the somewhat delayed response, but I have been really busy lately.
But do you think it would be too much if I brought something to get signed? Like maybe my acoustic guitar? Maybe something smaller if I don't think I can transport that.

Thats what a meet and greet is all about!!
As long as you don't go overboard and want a million and one things signed!! LOL
The boys are VERY generious when it comes to their fans.
P.S. no worries on the delayed response,I know everyone has a life outside of the internet.

Okay this may be really stupid, but doesn't the plate behind the strings come off? If it does, then bring it for sure, and the CD. Bring whatever you can get into a concert without having it taken away or destroyed, like your guitar, because Ronnie is killer about signing stuff.
An idea I had was to take a mat for a photo and have him sign it, then put a picture I had taken with him, behind the mat then frame it. That way his writing is more clear than on a photo. Just a thought and I don't even know if I'm going.

My VIP laminates and special custom t-shirt came in the mail a couple days ago! And now I'm mega pumped! only 15 more days until the best day of my life.
And I really want to bring my acoustic guitar and get it signed, but then there's the whole problem of carrying it around, and since I'm going to be really really close to the front, that's a bad idea. What I'm thinking, is since I have back stage passes if I can work out a deal with the people back stage and see if I could pick up my guitar again after the concert.
If not I'll bring whatever I can cram into my pockets.

Well, I got an e-mail today regarding the concert, and I guess I can't bring my guitar >.>

So it looks like I'm out of luck, but I'm thinking of bringing my Evil or Devine promo poster that I have hanging in my room. Or something else, I'm not quite sure yet. I might try and sneak in a couple items to get signed, I'm sure Dio and the gang won't mind.
Can anybody here give me a guess on what they think the set list will entail? Will it have only Sabbath stuff, or will it have Dio stuff in it as well?

What the F**k?! The kid cannot bring his guitars pic guard for signing?! what next? I'd stash it under you shirt Joey,I'd almost bet that the band wont mind signing it for a fellow Dioaholic.

| hi, this is my first post but been following the fourms for a long time. we have three platinum packages for the houston show can't wait. we got the same e mail with all the rules an such. not to unreasonable i don't think. we also allready got our three shirts an laminates/passes. we will be staying at the hotel adjacent to the venue. |

I don't know if that would actually turn me away from the door for just having a poster. I mean, I paid 400 bucks I better get some damn things signed >.> I don't think I have any Heaven and Hell specific items other than the t-shirts I got.

I thought it was kind of bogus too, and I don't know if I could stash it under my shirt or not. Being the VIP and actually being able to meet the band might mean enhanced security, which means it won't be the typical bum off the street they decided to hire to wave a wand around. I'm sure the band wouldn't mind signing it, but I really don't want to be turned away =/

Ah, very nice! I only live like 45 minutes from the venue we are going to, so there is no need to stay at a hotel. My dad is just going to drive us to and from. Is this your first VIP concert, or have you had others before it?

| this will be our first vip. the last time we meet ronnie an the guys was on the holy diver tour in 83. so its a long time coming. we were front row last year in reno nevada but no vip. |

Wow, so it's been quite a long time since you last met him then. I wish I was alive back then, I would kill to see some of those songs played live  . And being front row would be insane! I think we are third of fourth row, but we might try our luck and run up to the front, or at least I will.

The list just seems pretty restrictive for what you are paying for a ticket. I can meet them on the first one but 2 and 3? Does 2 include autograph books? They have blank paper in them. But why 3? I have my Heaven and Hell program guide from last tour. If I had VIP I would have them sign those but I would as well want to bring my tour programs for Holy Diver and Last in Line and have Ronnie and Vinny sign them. I also have a Mob Rules era poster that I would want to bring and have all 4 of them sign.
