Hell, man, this Guitarist/Singer is a god. I got into Emperor after listening to some of the Mayhem history, and then started listening to Ihsahn vocals and guitarwork. All my friends who have never heard Emperor are all like "Dave Mustaine can kick his ass" but fuckers, Ihsahn and Emperor could lay waste to Slayer or Megadeth any fucking day.
I got the Adversary, awesome. And then bought AngL when I saw an angel, but that's another story.

haha that's a little harsh ><!
I have the Wrath of the Tyrant demo and I like it, of course there's better, but it's not bad. I can't defend anything Emperor or Ihsahn has done recently, I haven't heard any of it and I'm personally not too interested in it.
and comparing them to Immortal was just unfair, very few bands have a chance against them

Dear old Jussy, you of all the members on this board should know how much I dislike Emperor and Ihsahn.
It really makes me wanna kill myself out of boredom if I ever even try to listen to Emperor. It just doesn't give me the feeling of raw grimness, or even trueness. It's too fake.
and it's like
"Then it appears blah blah blah,
blah blah blah blah through the light.
A cloud of darkness blah blah blah
to blah blah blah the circle of blah.
They should sell Emperor albums to the emokids. haha. yeah, they should.

Okay, that's funny, but hey, Emperor is a ton of fucking kickass riffs (esp. Prometheus)
And for further reference, I also listen to Immortal. Pure Holocaust.
