Hey guys, just following up for those who read my posts I did get to go backstage and meet the legends themselves....Dio was very pleased to receive the painting I did for him. We talked about 1 hour, took many pictures, autographes etc....The crew on this site was awsome in trying to help me get to Dio and I thank them very much. The show was awsome...The guys were down to earth and very approachable and Dio drinks one hell of a good red wine!

Oh man that's cool. I got to meet them all on the KTD tour but the only problem was I had way to much to drink and i was embarassed about it and so star struck i couldn't hardly think of what to say, i felt pretty silly afterwards they were all very nice though.

No the painting I made for him was of Lady Evil the way I saw her, was gonna give him a sculpted frog cause he collects them but at the last second I poacked the painting...He was very appreciative of it and said it would go over his mantle in his living room to replace somthing that had been stolen...i think...been over a year now so...lol Id love to see a picture of it hanging at his home someday but Ill probably have to settle for the memory of it!

I'm so happy for and envious of you...
I have started a painting for Dio as well. It's basically a collage, where I've taken a picture of Dio himself and some Dio-related pictures, torn their edges, glued them on a cardboard background and finally I will sew them all together by aquarel colours. The setting includes images of heaven, castles, knights, stars etc. on the upper section, images of hell, dragons, demons, wizards, crosses etc. on the lower section and finally Dio in the middle catching a rainbow which spreads it's spectrum of colours all around in between the pictures, dividing the painting in half between heaven and hell...
...my goal is also to meet & greet Mr. Ronnie James Dio backstage and give him this humble piece I call "art"...
