Dio's gig in Oslo was gosh darn AWESOME. the place was pretty packed (1600 capasity) and the show was STUNNING!! the setlist was the same as in England, and the band was tight as hell, and more importantly, the audience was NUTS!! the atmosphere was electric!!
it is difficult to pick highlights cause the show was killer from start to finnish Dio was in superb voice!!!

anyways; after the show we hung out outside the venue, hoping to catch Ronnie. before the band came out, Ronnie's sound guy stopped and talked to us (great guy, I forget his name though) and he could offer us the following updates in the world of Dio;

* They plan to film a dvd in spain later this summer. the idea was to film a gig in sweden but they deided not to cause it was a small club with an 800 capacity

* he confirmed how Dio was in a "bad shape" on the Holy Diver dvd. he was suffering from a cold, and it was the fourth night in a row

* 6 tracks are done for the new sabbath record. they are still aiming for a very early 2009 release, followed by a world tour

we chatted with him for quite a while, a very friendly guy who was happy to share info with the fans

after a while, the band came out, so we got to meet everybody and have stuff signed and pictures taken. I had Ronnie sign my Rainbow Rising cd and the Dio anthology booklet! ronnie was great, taking time to talk to everyone and he seemed genuinly pleased to see everyone. as did Craig!
