Stargazer by Rainbow in Rainbow Rising. Great song, goes well with Man on the Silver Mountain. I liked this song, mostly the singing though. So I looked through my dad's collection, and he had a sample disk that had Rainbow in the Dark on it. Since then I've been hooked.

First song what I heard from Ronnie was HOLY DIVER and always when it comes from the radio I turn the volume higher. And some day ( long ago ) I interested about Dio's music and then I listened it more and more and more. Then I go to the shop and buy Dio's CD called diamonds the best of Dio. Smile

Same. I first saw the video for it in late 1985. The song blew me away.

Neon knights-
I bought Steve Miller's Band album as a gift to my brother. The day before his birhtday he said he hated that band so I had to change it. At that time there were not imports in Mexico so I had not many options. My choice was Heaven and Hell (Thanks God!) because I liked the name of tne band (I hadn't heard BS before), the name of the album and the cover..... and I felt in love with Dio!!!

The first Dio song I ever Heard was "Man on the silver mountain"in '75,but I was only five.
Next was Rainbow in the dark ,then Last in line, and I was sold.
That's when I became a big fan and went back and bought all the old rainbow and black sabbath stuff along with the Dio albums up to dream evil, and I had one Elf album, the one with wonder world on it.

Dream evil was the last one I bought when it was new,now all I have is the Beast of Dio,and Black Sabbath the Dio years.

I don't remember the song, but in 1974 I went to see Deep Purple,Montrose and Elf in the Seattle coliseum(now Key arena). My first concert at 16y/o.I was up front when the lights went down. The crowd rushed forward and I was crushed against the stage. The crowd surged back and then forward again.I had the wind knocked out of me.Ronnie came out on stage and asked for the lights and for people to move back.He reached down and pulled me onstage.I sat on the edge of the stage,at Ronnies feet and recovered as the music started. When I regained my senses I got off the stage and stood in awe at the unknown backup band and thier powerful singer.Thank you Dio.

Rainbow in the dark... That voice and those keyboards caught me from the very beginning!
