...Absolutely!!!...Even that is an "understatement"!!!...Ronnie's voice was beyond anything ever acheived by any singer on LUTW... ...but I cannot choose a favorite album...Last in Line is Probably one of the most intense Musical "TRIPS" I have ever experienced for starters though...To elaborate on that statement would be a very long personal story that I wont get into now...but the first time I ever heard that album it literally Blew me away!... |

Holy Diver of course....but I think his best work was in Black Sabbath. _________________ Do not worry about the bullet with your name on it, worry about the one that says, "To whom it may concern.."

Holy Diver. Which album did the band just play in its entirety on the European tour?
IMHO Last in Line, Magica, and Killing the Dragon are also great albums. If you are a DIO fan looking to expand your collection, start out with those four. You get the best of early DIO albums and the best of the newer material. |

I think I will join in on this debate about LOTW, since it's a favorite album for me as well. Out of those 3 tracks, Why are they watching me is my choice But yeah, its difficult since the album is flawless. |

For me, the best Dio albums are Magica and Dream Evil. I've voted for Magica, but I like them both very much.
I have a question for the ones who have voted for Master Of The Moon: What does Master Of The Moon do that makes you vote for it? I mean, why would you vote for Master Of The Moon? No offence, just curious. _________________ You're Breathless, ready to burn

As a whole album I will have to go with Magica. It rocks hard!
But looking at each number individually, it would be The Last in Line. |
Its a hard choice becoz Holy Diver and Last in Line are so good every track...but everytime I listen to Magica....I find something new....Magica is a work of art...and I am never get bored listening to it. |
Very well said HM
Magica is amazing. It is by far the best album I have ever owned. This is the album I would keep, if I was forced to give away my music collection. (Hopefully that will never happen )
It's heavy..... It's fast and has phenomenal guitar work. Magica really draws you into another world.... (Otherworld ) hehe
Watching Craig play Otherworld followed by his own solo at the Magica tour is a moment i will never forget. I still get the chills when i hear it |
Agreed about Goldy. With all respect to Dream Evil fans, I think Magica is by far Goldy's best axework on an album. |
