In amongst the blurb for "The Metal Masters Tour"...
"HEAVEN AND HELL will be supporting the release of "The Rules Of Hell", a five-CD boxed set available July 22 from Rhino Records, which features re-mastered versions of all four Dio-era BLACK SABBATH albums ("Heaven and Hell", "Mob Rules", "Live Evil" and "Dehumanizer") in a deluxe package with new liner notes."

the only way to reproduce the Live Evil LP in its entirety is indeed 2 CDs... all 1CD versions around have various cuts (at worst War Pigs is missing, at best lots of between songs talk is cut out), the only full versions around, that I know of but I could be wrong, are 2CD!
So the 5CDs may be the classic stuff in the 4 albums.
Or perhaps they will include all the alternate versions, plus the live songs on singles?! That would be great! I have all that stuff but some of it is old vinyl that I bought second-hand, so to have remasters would be fantastic!!! |

I hope that the 5th disc is something special like a collection of Dio era released b'sides [Master Of Insanity/TV Crimes singles] and the likes....
I dont think 14 tracks would warrant a double-disc release but we'll see I'm keeping my hopes for some unreleased material.... |

It seems no extra material is being released, according to Black-Sabbath.com
Pity, some of the Dehumanizer Demos would be amazing remastered/rerecorded

I'm not sure what would be the wiser marketing strategy. As a fan of course I would like to see the new release included so that it expedites it's arrival. However I think that the new album should have it's own package. I dont know, either way...I cannot wait!

Aren't there enough Black Sabbath Greatest Hits/boxed sets out there already????? I want a NEW album! I was somewhat pissed about the Dio Years album, with only 3 new songs, but I did buy it for the 3 songs. But, as most of us probably already have all the CDs in this set, and there is no new songs why bother buying it? From what I understand, it does not even have the 3 songs from the Dio Years.

I got the Dio/Sabbath remasters back in 1996 from the folks at Castle it was a very limited run of cds, some folks missed out on them.
I won't be buying the Box set becoz there is nothing new for me.
But some folks may have not got the remasters that came out in 1996 so this is a great chance to get them.
I don't know why Dio/Sabbath Remasters from Castle was limited  |

The Live Evil Castle ramster is an incomplete version. It has all the songs, granted, but the in between song talking is cut out. So this is certainly not the version you want to have! |

I'm told that if you purchase the Box Set through Best Buy that on the outside of the package there is an extra Live CD with 5 trax!
but I'm thinking, why only at Best Buy?
