*SCROLL TO BOTTOM FOR ADDED UPDATE*
I know about 75% of what you read on blabbermouth is rumors, so I'M not TOO excited, but I was wondering what everyone here thought of this......
I looked up tour dates on Testaments web site and they only have dates listed through the end of june.
I won't get overly excited until I read it HERE at RONNIEJAMESDIO.COM ofcourse, but i thought I would share this. IF IT TURNS OUT TO BE TRUE, I WILL BE THERE!!!
Sorry if this has been addressed already....
TESTAMENT frontman Chuck Billy announced onstage last night (Sunday, April 6) at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in New York City that his band has been confirmed as the opening act on the upcoming JUDAS PRIEST, HEAVEN AND HELL and MOTÖRHEAD tour, which is scheduled to take place this summer.
"We'll be on first, and we're only gonna have 30 minutes, so we won't be doing any talking," Billy said. "We're just gonna hit you hard — bam, bam, bam, bam — with everything we've got."
On April 2, Pollstar.com — the companion web site of the concert industry's leading trade publication — released (and then quickly removed) what appear to be several dates for the tour, which is being promoted by Live Nation.
Although there has been no official confirmation regarding the much-rumored trek, Pollstar.com listed the following TESTAMENT arena dates during the month of August:
Aug. 07 - Bristow, VA @ Nissan Pavilion At Stone Ridge
Aug. 09 - Holmdel, NJ @ PNC Bank Arts Center
Aug. 10 - Wantagh, NY @ Nikon At Jones Beach Theater
Aug. 13 - Toronto, ON @ The Molson Amphitheatre
Aug. 15 - Uncasville, CT @ Mohegan Sun
Aug. 16 - Burgettstown, PA @ Post-Gazette Pavilion
Aug. 18 - Clarkston, MI @ DTE Energy Music Theatre
Aug. 19 - Tinley Park, IL @ First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre
**IMPORTANT**: The above-listed dates were provided by Pollstar and should be treated as a *rumor only* until officially confirmed by the bands involved with the tour or the tour's organizers, Live Nation.
In an interview with "The Classic Metal Show" which aired on March 29, JUDAS PRIEST singer Rob Halford stated about the trek, "Live Nation are promoting the tour, and I guess the professional way of dealing with this is to say that Live Nation will be making an official announcement probably a few days from now. But it's difficult to keep that kind of thing quiet 'cause… If it does happen, and it's looking very real, it's gonna be one of the biggest metal shows in the States this year. . . You have to wait for the official announcement because it has to be sanctioned by management and the lawyers in the suits and that other rubbish. But if we get what we are hoping to get, I think it's gonna be an absolutely sensational, killer American tour — 'cause it won't happen anywhere else in the world, this lineup. It'll just be for the States."

*****AGAIN, Rumors are ONLY rumors, but this is a link to an actual newspaper (yes, i know they can be wrong too) BUT it does list this as the upcoming "comfirmed" summer season for the post gazette pavillion. It states that many of the shows were leaked through the internet weeks ago, BUT here is the COMFIRMED schedule. Take notice of the date 16 August.

Could any of the moderators or anyone within the community seek out information on this, and maybe make an OFFICIAL update to all these rumors.

I live in the coverage area of the Beaver County Times and almost had a stroke when I saw that schedule,,,,,But I looked all over the place on the web including the livenation site that lists all the shows at that venue and they DO NOT have an Aug. 16th date 4 that show on their site. Anyone in the Pittsburgh area should know better than to expect anything other than the usual crap at that place.....mostly NEW country and Buffett and not much else....been waitin for RJD to return since 2003 and no sign of him! _________________ USA FOREVER! |

Until its posted on either BANDS website its STILL only a rumor!
All this info you folks are getting is off MUSIC INDUSTRY sites only,
as someone said above this, Blahmouth is NOTHING BUT rumors.
Others will post the info just to brag they posted it when they have NOTHING to do with either of the bands.
So until its OFFICALLY posted on DIO.JUDAS PRIEST,and MOTORHEAD WEBSITE'S its still A RUMOR!! _________________

Exactly my point its a music industry site....now go look on the JP website and you'll find NADA mentioned about this....
Same with Dio and Motorhead sites |
oh don't be silly, the record company is not just an "industry site", it's as official as it gets, since they are the money people! The record company probably knew it before the bands themselves...
But OK, it's official when you say so, you win. And thanks for the official "official confirmation".
