Any Uriah Heep fans here? Yeah alot of their earlier stuff sounds like Deep Purple, but they put out a wide range from music from folk songs to country western songs to heavy metal.

My favorite eras are the David Bryon and John Lawton (who looked and sang somewhat like Dio back then)

We LOVE Heep! Byron is the definitive singer, Lawton rocks too but a lot of that rich vocal harmony is from Ken Hensley.

We had the pleasure of meeting Mick Box several years ago at a Heep gig, great guy.

Pierre you around? We miss you and we know you have something to say about Heep...

Demons and Wizards is one of our absolute favorite of all time!

'There I was, on a July Morning, looking for love...'

Yes, we love Uriah! Look At Yourself is their ultimate studio album. They're about to release a new 2008 studio album called WAKE THE SLEEPER. It's slated for March 2008. Their official page has three new songs available via youtube.com. Wow. I play them on a daily basis. And you know what? They really rock. Smile

Uriah Heep's new album "Wake the sleeper" will be released through Universal on 02 June 2008! Very Happy Can't wait for it! Very Happy

Here are 3 brilliant live versions from 3 new songs from "Wake the sleeper" performed end of 2007! They were recorded by a crew member and Mick Box gave his okay to put them on YouTube and on Heep's official homepage! Love all 3 songs! Very Happy

The current line-up that exists for more than 20 years now (Only Lee Kerslake had to leave the band last year due to health-problems) is my absolutely favourite Heep line-up! Especially Bernie's vocals impress me both live and on Cd! For me he is the voice of Heep! Very Happy I don't miss David Byron or John Lawton at all! Wink

WAKE THE SLEEPER - what a solid piece of work from these gents! I already knew the three songs put online, but the remainder of the album is on par. A truly classic sound, lots of hammond organ, wicked guitar from Mick and Bernie on top of his game! WOW! Only rarely do rock dinosaurs pull it off. Uriah pulled it off with unbelievable ease. Go and buy this album! It rocks. Cool

New album is good, but i must say that my favorite Heep crew was with David Byron! I love their first albums and Heep live 1973 is one of my favorite live albums!

Bernie is a king ,since Byron he is the best vocal in Heep! Last 3 Heep albums are pure classics. When you listen to Sea of light you feel the Heep magic(the cover for these album is done by Roger Dean the man that did the covers for Demons and Wizards and The Magician's Birthday) songs like Against The Odds, Time Of Revelation, Universal Wheels, Logical Progression, Words In The Distance makes you listen these album over and over again. Then Sonic origami another fantastic album witch has hard songs like Between Two Worlds, I Hear Voices and great ballads Heartless Land, Question. Then we come to great album Wake the sleeper fantastic Hard rock/Heavy metal album great songs. Songs remind us of classic Heep songs powerful organs, vocals, drums, bass, guitar solos. All of these albums are a must have in your collection.

Also i have to add that the first two albums with Bernie are good. Raging Silence (89') has a lot of good songs well most of them are good! Different world is not the best Heep album but you must know that they were forced to do this album before they were ready to do another album but it features some great songs.
